Aliso Viejo One Book, One City!

The Aliso Viejo Library seeks to strengthen our community and create bonds through cultural programming. By opening lines of discussion we hope to inspire positive changes within our city. Our 2005 "one book, one city" pick is The Tortilla Curtain by T.C. Boyle. We have two discussions scheduled one on May 2nd @ 7pm and one on May 10th @ 10:30 AM. Come on in to the library and pick up a copy of the book and join us for coffee and conversation.
We are also very pleased to present Dr. Leo Chavez, professor of Anthropology at the School of Social Sciences at UCI. He will speak on how immigration is a central part of the debate over who is an American and some of the misperceptions stemming from that debate, and the fears surrounding Mexican immigration.
